As log as she is passing her kick counts. The amniotic sac-also called the membranes or bag of waters-is a sac that surrounds your baby in your uterus (womb) during pregnancy. So i dont want to have to look like the jerk again just to find out they cant find any waters. They dont use the color changing method here any more and i was in on friday and had to refuse the IV because my hands are full of holes. i hear people on the base here are able to choose when they want c sectons not even due to medical reasons between 36 and 42 weeks.and here i am with a high risk pregnancy with serious complications and they are waiting til the last second to induce to cover their own asses. for some reasons the protocols they follow here are totally different from ones everywhere else. My doctor is so sure they will induce me he didnt even bother having me set up more appointments. Everything is hanging on tomorrow's appointment. I was told to just keep an eye on her movement until i'm in the clear. She is still moving, allbeit, it hurts me a lot when she does. i literally have to wait for my scan tomorrow morning. More then likely if it's fluid, i'll be induced by friday at 37 weeks.īringin the pad wont help they cant test it. I have another scan on Monday 5/9 so if it is fluid, it should show on the scan, especially if it keeps up like this. This is either some serious discharge or amniotic fluid. I know when i've piddled myself because the feeling is different. Has anyone else gone through this with a slow amnio leak? Does this look like what you had going on? And no, it does NOT smell like pee. I was also dry the night he sent us off to be induced, so when they checked internally with a swab, they didn't find any waters.makes sense, right? But the thing is, i hadn't had any leakage to speak of between scans either. ![]() i drink nothing but water and juice all day and eat popsickles constantly. On 5/6 I( have yet another AFI check and everything looks normal, fluids are back up to a 12! Told the doctor i hadn't done anything different. Proceeds to push 2 liters of fluids via IV at a rather fast pace, and sends me off after a few hours to check my AFI again. Hospital said procedure says they cant induce anyone before 37 weeks. He said either i'm leaking fluids OR the placenta is failing and baby isnt getting enough through the cord so wasn't peeing, causing reduced fluid. doctor had a talk and said baby needed to come out and sent us to the hospital right then. When the tech checked my AFI she kinda freaked out because it was only measuring at 4.7! Something wasnt right. ![]() Well that day it was only measuring at 28.5. I was 35 weeks and 4 days and my fundal height the week before was measuring 33.5. I didn't think anything of the AFI check. So on 5/4 i have a regular scan for cord doppler and AFI check since baby is measuring behind, asymmetrical IUGR which i had with my first as well. I was feeling it trickle in tiny tiny gushes but again just thought it was pooled up discharge since it only happens when baby moves. I started wearing panty liners because it was just getting stupid how often my underwear were wet. I didnt even think that it could have been a small leak. On 4/27 at night i was sitting in the bed and heard 2 little pops and i was positive my waters broke but when i stood up, nothing happened. Long story short i was having what i thought was just some discharge, i know it's normal for discharge to get heavier near the end.
