MTP is a single-operation mode for file transfer that basically lets your Mac access files on your Android. To start transferring files right away, select MTP mode under the MacDroid device menu. Maybe there's a workaround or something I can do differently. Connect your Android to your Mac using a USB cable, preferably the original cable that came with the device, and open MacDroid on your computer. I'll experiment a little more here, try some other launchers. I remember reading about the SDK requirement. If you're wondering why I made this change then you can read about it here. I think it could easily be either and right now I don't know what I could change in MacroDroid to resolve this (or why the shortcuts seems to work ok everywhere else but not from Nova gestures). It is not clear cut to me if this is really an issue with MacroDroid or if Nova is doing something not quite right. I don't have the Pro version of Nova to recreate so I guess I might have to buy this to test, but I don't understand why it should work ok from a Nova desktop shortcut and not from a gesture. I tested in Nova from a standard desktop shortcut and there were no problems. ![]() This has had some effects on shortcut launching behaviour however I have not seen any issue launching shortcuts when testing. What has changed is that MacroDroid has updated its target SDK to API 27. Unfortunately, I don't have a way to rollback to the previous version of MD, no backups and no APK that I can find online. This wasn't happening prior to this morning's update. Edit the icon again, change the swipe action to directly launch the same application that our macro launches.ħ. Be sure macrodroid is on, check if your macro is on, chek your macro's if and or conditions. Write another geo fence macro, see if that runs. Check if location service is up and running. Wait for a significant amount of time before the launched app appears.Ħ. Narrow your circle, Be sure no other app or service kills or snoozes macrodroid. ![]() Edit that icon and configure a swipe action of type "Shortcut" to launch the newly created MacroDroid macro.Ĥ. Place an icon for any app on the home screen.ģ. Create a macro to launch an app (doesn't matter which app, let's say Gmail).Ģ. I have, in my opinion, determined this to be a MacroDroid issue. In other words, when I swipe an icon to launch a macro, it's taking anywhere from 1-3 minutes for the macro to execute. Since that update installed, all of these swipe-initiated macros are showing significant delays when launching - several minutes in some cases. Nova Launcher did NOT update this morning. This morning MacroDroid updated to version 3.21.1. I use Nova Launcher and have a few MD macros that are launched as shortcuts from swipe gestures on some of my app icons in Nova. (A launcher is part of a phones user interface: the appearance and layout of the home screen, lock screen, app drawer, app icons.
